Adecco are currently recruiting for a Logistics Operative for one of our well established Clients in Cramlington.
These roles are working on a Continental shift pattern of 4 nights on 4 nights off 6pm - 6am
Pay rate : £12.67
Responsibilities:
· Manage all waste streams on site and ensure they get disposed of in the correct waste bin
· Operating the on-site Film Compactor
· Operating the on-site Cardboard/Plastic Balers
· Managing waste collections in line with site requirements
· Ensuring Logistics yards are kept clean
· Reporting any defects in systems and procedures to Process Lead
· Identifying continuous improvements
· Reporting breaches of mixed waste streams to Process Lead
· Communicating effectively with external Waste Contractors
· Auditing external contractors
· Managing Waste flow.
· Carrying out the necessary admin work to complete the process
· Responding effectively to site conditions and monitoring information that ensure compliance is maintained
· Carrying out on site monitoring to ensure effective site operation
· Driving company van to other site locations
Qualifications/ Requirements
· Having knowledge and interest for environmental issues.
· Teamwork Skills
· Excellent Communications skills
· Waste Stream Knowledge
· Warehouse/Logistics knowledge and experience
· Waste Legislation knowledge
· Flexible
· Excellent Time Keeping
· Ability to communicate effectively with contractors/departments
· Flexible to meet changing priorities, and remain calm under pressure
· FLT external qualification license
