This is a high profile commercial / finance role, supporting both development and execution of the business pricing policy, with analysis and review of profitability and reporting. Further, It must be ensured that financial arrangements with the company are accurately maintained and the mix of products sold is part of a successful pricing strategy

Client Details

I am working with one the worlds leading providers in the construction trade. A world wide well known company who provide expert support are wanting to take on an additional member of staff to the Finance Team. This is a permanent opportunity for a part qualified accountant.

Description

Manage and improve customer promotion and rebate process (e.g. ensuring appropriate levels of accruals, compliance and target achievements).
Report major finding in such analysis to lead better pricing and value proposition.
Participate in key finance / pricing in cross-functional projects.
Support the marketing function in new product development and launch (e.g. financial modelling, campaigns and promotions)
Meeting with the Trade National/Account Managers to discuss pricing actions on a regular basis.
Review marketing and product profitability. Proposing opportunities for price improvement.
Ensure timely and accurate provisions of pricing information
Ensure that new business strategies are consistent with business strategy
Update customer price files and its distribution. Meeting with the Trade National/Account Managers to discuss pricing actions on a regular basis.
Ensure all call-line breaches (standard prices and overrides) are monitored and authorised.
Assist in the raising and dispatching of monthly/quarterly/annual rebates and extra discount by credit notes to Sales Team members or Customers as requested.
Review marketing and product profitability. Proposing opportunities for price improvement.
Clear and concise communication of pricing related issues
To produce and distribute the following Senior Management reports in a timely manner (e.g. monthly accruals, monthly rebates provision overview).
To liaise with Business Managers to implement UK Pricing Strategy/Model.
Drive activities to improve and enhance commercial margin allocation for buyers and product lines.
Assist in the successful delivery of Country Contribution Margin (CCM) targets.
Any other duties that are assigned at the discretion of the line manager.Profile

Good commercial awareness

Partly qualified in accountancy
Excellent analytical and spreadsheet modelling skills
Ability to communicate and challenge effectively at all levels, including top management
Independent; ability to operate effectively with minimal guidance
Goal orientated, able to meet deadlines and able to prioritise and delegate work
Ability to work under pressure often dealing with several issues simultaneously
Ability to grasp complex ideas quickly and effectively
Strong communication skills, with clear verbal communicate
BA degree (relevant majors: Business Administration, Economics, Statistics and Mathematics etc.)Job Offer
