An employer of choice based in brighton are seeking a Logistics Operations Manager on a temporary basis for 6 months.
Description
As Logistics Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
Manage a team of materials management, inventory management and receipt and distribution staff.
Coordinate and monitor the ordering, receipt, storage and issue of all goods.
Monitor and manage the ordering, receipting, stocking and issuing of PPE.
Coordinating regular and an annual stock take.
Maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the stores
Ensure efficient space utilisation and safe traffic management.
Motivate, organise, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity and efficiency targets are met or exceeded.
Recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
Review and manage third party logistics providers and systems.
Management of the Key performance indicator (KPIs) for our main supplier.
Management of the fast moving and/or business critical inventory.Profile
Strong People management skills - capable of inspiring, leading and motivating a team
Maintaining staff records and carrying out appraisals
Knowledge of the H&S, HR and legal requirements of operating a warehouse
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experienced setting safety stock
A history of managing third party logistics providers
Analytical - high level of attention to detail / strong planning and organising skills.
The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines - Initiative and decisiveness
Technical and IT skills
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work on a tactical and strategic level
Job Offer
