Job Details
We have a vacancy for a Laboratory Technician to work in our clients Chemical and Analytical Technology Department in Kettering.
The successful applicant will be expected to carry out routine chemical testing to standard procedures within an accredited laboratory environment.
The successful applicant will also be expected to calculate and record results and observations in an understandable manner. Full training will be provided, although previous laboratory experience is desirable.
Candidates must have GCSE or equivalent in English, Maths and at least one science subject at Grade C or above and be familiar with MS Word and Excel.
The successful candidate will be expected to work to deadlines, to produce accurate, detailed results to communicate effectively and also be able to work independently and as part of the laboratory team.
Flexibility, tenacity and a ‘can-do attitude are key requisites of the role. Candidates should be able and willing to work their contracted hours between the hours of 11am and 7pm if required although the normal hours of work for this position will be Monday to Friday between 11am and 7pm. A 10% shift allowance will be paid in addition to the salary.
