Special Educational Needs and DisabilitiesEmpowering Learning are currently recruiting Classroom Healthcare Assistants to work with pupils with Autism and Complex Needs in Newham. They are seeking Healthcare Assistants with a background of supporting individuals with a Care background in SEND. The successful candidate will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis. The ideal person will be able to demonstrate a caring and empathetic nature towards the pupils. The school would like a positive and versatile SEND Classroom Support Worker, with a keen interest in supporting pupils of different learning levels. Candidates must be happy to assist with Personal Care.

Job Responsibilities

Able to work with groups or 1:1 support within the classroom
Supporting pupils with Complex Needs, Autism & Learning Difficulties
Supervising pupil's behaviour
Assist with Personal Care
Encourage, engage and support pupils with their learning & developmentJob Requirements

Adaptable and willing to work with different primary age groups
Willing to support children with learning difficulties and disabilities
Willing to support with Personal Care
Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be prepared to apply for a new DBS
