Job Details

Role Purpose:

You'll be working as part of a team reporting into the Planning Manager with responsibility for creating and managing the forecast and capacity model.

To give direction to the Planning team through detailed analysis , Be responsible and accountable for supporting the Regional Logistics Manager in the operation of a specific hub, To also ensure that all team members are trained and capable of performing their roles in line with the business requirement and to ensure the overall hub operates efficiently and is legally compliant in all areas at all times.

Responsible for capacity planning and for development of these services in the organisation
Lead capacity planning activities ensuring delivery against operational requirements, which optimise efficiency and costs
Refine systems and methods to continually improve plans so that the organisation can better anticipate customer needs
Assess existing capacity and develop operational plans and forecasts based on future plans for demand
Manage deviations from the plan that have financial impact
Monitor key processes for capacity and demand, identify capacity constraints and provide analysis
Analyse specifications and capacity and undertake appropriate calculations to estimate job requirements in terms of labour, tools, materials and resources
Ensure that the right tools and processes are in place to deliver effective capacity planning and performance monitoring across the organisation
Review data and trends and diagnose problems and concerns
Identify and drive improvement initiatives that optimise capacity and ensure best return on investment without adding risk or disruption
Utilise knowledge and research methods to benchmark capacity planning activities and to drive best practice results
Carry out briefs periodically with team to update them on Operational/Business performance & site specific feedback & issues.
Be the accountable key holder for site and safely and securely open and close down the site for out of business hours
Ensure the safe storage of vehicles and vehicles keys on site at all times.
Continually check delivery schedules to ensure all vehicles are present in Hub ahead of delivery time.
Ensure all Hub stock and vehicle condition checks are carried out with designated time frames and any issues resolved or escalated
Continually monitor delivery specialist Rotas and time keeping to ensure DS are following plans regarding service times
Ensures that documented handovers are carried out to ensure correct information flow takes place between shifts/rotations which in turn will ensure a continuous and collaborative working focus.
Ensures handovers are carried out following the correct process to ensure that information flows through the right channels and is being captured.
Ensures structured communications between Logistics Management, Service team and other key stakeholders. In addition to facilitating two-way
communication in order to prevent breakdowns in the process.
Provides management reports for the senior team and key stakeholders, to enable daily operational reviews to take place that are data driven
Be a driving factor in the delivery of productivity and process improvements relating to both direct reports, core contracted site and logistics as a whole. Ensure all assets on site are compliant including Transporters and transporter checks, Electrical appliances, Valet equipment etc
Regularly review our processes and capabilities based on customer feedback and insights.
Be a driving factor in the delivery of productivity and process improvements relating to service delivery in hub, and logistics as a whole.Performance measures:
