Job Title: Despatch Administrator
Reports to: Despatch Manager
Hours : - 8am to 4pm – Monday to Friday
Pay : £18000 a year - £9.23 a hour

Job Overview:
This position will be responsible for supporting the Despatch Manager in the daily processing and timely despatch of all orders throughout the business, ensuring customer orders are imported into our business system & processed accordingly, communicating with couriers & hauliers to organise the daily transport for despatches and the processing of sales order posting to prepare the despatched orders for invoicing. Liaising with other internal departments to share daily despatch updates, communicate order delay issues with the customer service & account management team and relay stock picking issues through the inventory & operations team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting in the importing of customer order data from customer portals into our own business system, Business Central.
The updating of customer order portals with the relevant despatch status & tracking information.
Daily batch creation of both courier & bulk haulier orders to ensure despatch in time for their required delivery dates.
Communicating with the daily couriers & hauliers to ensure the collection of processed orders.
System processing to confirm despatch and consume the stock for all orders despatched, in turn prepping the orders for invoicing.
Helping to collate any information highlighting system stock issues when consuming stock for despatched orders.
Helping to collate daily despatch information to highlight failed/successful order figures & percentages, delayed order reasoning and other general daily updates to be relayed back through the Operations & Commercial teams.
Requirements:
Previous experience as an administrator in FMCG organisation.
Ideally some working knowledge of sales despatch processes.
Ability to efficiently manage your own workload to ensure timely completion.
Ability to problem solve & make decisions in a fast-moving despatch environment.
Experience of using ERP systems and Microsoft Office products in particular Excel.
Strong attention to detail & organisational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
