Production Operative

Production Technicians x 12

My very pretigious client based in Huntingdon are looking for contractors to assist within their high tech manufacturing site.

Hours are - Production Operators (working alternating day shifts)

Early shift: Monday - Thursday (6am-2.15pm), Friday (6am - 1pm)

Late shift: Monday - Thursday (2pm - 10pm), Friday (12.45pm - 8.45pm), based on a rotational basis

Night shift: Sunday - Thursday (10pm - 6am) - permanent night shift 

Key Accountabilities:

· Meeting daily production targets on time and using resources efficiently to minimise waste

· Assembling/producing components to the required specification by using appropriate tests and inspections so that all work produced meets the requirement of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

· Complete online documentation and highlight deviations to the appropriate person

· Identify opportunities for and contribute to continuous improvement of the production process

· Ensure that health and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times

· Clean and maintain work area as required.

Person Specification:

· Ability to work on own initiative and with minimal supervision

· A trusted team player with a flexible, can do attitude

· Diligent and conscientious with a methodical approach and a keen eye for detail

· Good written and verbal communication skills to ensure smooth handover between shifts

· A high level of manual dexterity is essential in order to perform many of the production tasks

· Pro-active in seeking ways to make processes more efficient and effective

· Computer literate - confident using a computer to input information, type handover notes and send e-mails etc.

· Willingness to learn new skills, processes or equipment as and when required

· Willingness to work shifts

· Good numeracy skills

Qualifications and experience:

· Experience working in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable

· Experience of electro-mechanical assembly would be advantageous.
