Interaction Recruitment is the UK's fastest growing independent recruiter with offices Nationwide. We are currently working on behalf of our client based in Heanor who are recruiting a Laboratory Cleaner on a temporary basis.
The hours of work are Monday – Friday, 08.30am – 5.00pm
As a Laboratory cleaner you will be responsible for cleaning the laboratory equipment; such as glassware, metal instruments, sinks, tables, and test panels; using cleaning solution according to specifications. Other duties will include washes, rinses, and drying glassware and instruments as well as scrubbing walls down, mopping the floor, cleaning shelves and tables down. All whilst following instructions by laboratory staff members and abiding to the set Health and Safety regulations.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with an interest in science/laboratories as it will give you an insight into working in a laboratory and understanding the job role.
The ideal candidate:
Previous Lab cleaning experience (desired)
Read/Write/Understand English to a good standard
Have a good eye for detail
Able to follow instructions effectively
Be alert at all times
Mindful of laboratory technicians and equipment
Delicate handing of equipment
