Vehicle Finishing Technician

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Vehicle Finishing Technician within a friendly, family-run independent garage located in the Dereham area .Our client has been incredibly successful over the past 30 years and comes with a loyal customer base of repeat customers and referrals.
They are looking for a looking for a Vehicle Finishing Technician who is motivated and able to work using their own initiative.
Typical Duties as a Vehicle Finishing Technician / Panel beater and Paint Sprayer include but are not limited to:
- Assessing a vehicle to establish the extent of damage
- Removing damaged panels
- Stripping and refitting trim and panel interior
- Refitting new/repaired panels
- Repairing damaged bodywork using
- Repairing small dents, holes or corroded areas using a compound filler
- Removing existing paint and corrosion
- Masking off the parts of the vehicle which are not going to be resprayed.
- Keeping a record of work carried out and time taken.
- Select and Mix Primers, Base Coat and Clear Coats
- Preparation of panels for prime, top and clear coats
- Application of prime, top and clear coats to current legislation
- Responsible for cleanliness and housekeeping standards in own area
- Adherence to Health and Safety rules and regulations
To be successful for this Vehicle Finishing Technician / Paint Sprayer / Panel Beater role you will have:
- A Current and Valid UK Driving Licence
- Dedicated and committed approach.
- A minimum of BTEC OR NVQ or City & Guilds or IMI Level 2 qualification or similar.
For your hard work our client is offering a fantastic basic salary of up to £31,000 plus Bonus and overtime and Monday - Friday only!
