Temporary Pay Rate:
*Standard Days: £10.75ph ltd
*Nights & Saturdays: £11.50ph ltd
*Sundays & Bank Holidays: £11.75ph ltd

Hours and length of contract:
*Full time
*7 day rota covering days and nights
*Long day shifts: 08:00 - 20:45 (paid at 11.75 hours)
*Long night shifts: 20:30 - 08:15 (11.75 paid break, as lone working at night)
*Support on a 24-hour basis therefore flexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential.
*The manager is looking for the position to be filled ASAP.

Daily Duties:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work across 2 private brain injury community rehabilitation houses which support males and females, one 4 beds and the other 3. Service users have an acquired brain injury (ABI) or traumatic brain injury (TBI) and the aim of the service is to reduce challenging behaviour, optimise functional skills and promote quality of life of the patients.
The community services and the final stage of the discharge pathway and a less restricted environment where patients are integrated back into the community.

Responsibilities will include:
*Supporting service users with all aspects of daily living such as budgeting, cooking, shopping, attending college and work experience placements
*Dispensing medication from a MARS system (essential required experience)
*Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed to facilitate the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of all patients.
*Promoting and encouraging independence
*Providing assistance with daily activities and supporting with personal care
*Preventing and reducing risk of harm
*Liaise with outside agencies and other professionals to ensure that the rehabilitation programmes and care plans are being facilitated
*Enabling Service Users to meet their outcomes and develop goals

Person specification:
The applicant must have a clear DBS and have recent and relevant experience and an NVQ in Health and Social Care.
