They are looking to recruit an experienced Communications Officer to join their Marcomms team, starting asap for 2 months, working 37hrs a week and paying £14.30ph, which equates to £27,511pa. This role will work from home and equipment will be supplied.

About the Role

As Communications Officer, you will create and deliver communications for the Chief Information Office Portfolio, developing plans and content that align with the Portfolio's communications strategy. You'll provide communications consultancy to our colleagues, guiding them on the most effective channels, content and approaches to engage their audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Write and produce a wide range of communications, ensuring they align with the University's tone of voice and support the Portfolio's communications strategy
Oversee, edit and maintain the Portfolio's newsletter and intranet sites(s), including monitoring feedback, working with and training web authors within the portfolio and analysing statistics to drive improvement
Seek out positive news and strategic stories from within the Portfolio to share across the University
Monitor and manage Portfolio mailboxes

Skills and Experience

Experience of overseeing and maintaining multiple communications channels
Ability to interpret and disseminate complex information
Strong influencing and relationship-building skills
Competent in the editing and design of video, imagery and documents
