We are seeking to employ an Operations Manager, reporting directly to the Managing Director, based within our EU headquarters in Telford Shropshire. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize all shipping, receiving, return processing and customer care
• Manage order flow prioritization, exceptions managed in advance, and maintain customer requested ship by and delivery by dates.
• Establish and maintain operational SLA’s and goals for inbound / outbound including speed, accuracy, processing time, and compliance
• Negotiate contracts with 3PL and small parcel carriers to ensure small parcel rates meet the highest service levels at competitive costs.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, scout and strategically find 3PL’s to support the company’s growth, and source other external partners to guarantee the timely arrival and accurate inventory.
• Proactively communicate operational risks and opportunities to leadership to enable quick and effective cross functional decision making
• Partnership to implement systems and automation to find scalability and efficiency in operational tasks.

Position Requirements:

Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain, or a related field(or equivalent)
• Min. of 5+ years of experience working in logistics, supply chain, and/or warehouse operations preferably both onboarding and managing 3PL’s and coordinating and implementing operations from the ground up
• Superior analytical and quantitative skills, including logistics P&L budgeting and management skills
• Possess excellent judgment, effective problem solver, highly process oriented and proactively ideate innovative solutions to drive growth and profitability
• Clear and precise communication skills, effective for all levels of the organization.
• Exceptional in MS office including the ability to manipulate and analyse large data sets in Excel
• Experience in ERP’s (SAP) and BI tools (Tableau)
• Advanced knowledge of small parcel shipping methods, LTL, last mile, etc.
• Full Uk Driving license
• Passport (and be prepared to travel to EU locations for the role)
• Legally allowed to work within the UK
• Be able to work based in our European Offices, located in Telford Shropshire.

Preferable but not essential

• eCommerce / b2c experience preferable
• Previous experience with marketplace logistics operations (Amazon, Wayfair etc).
• Prior experience working with global cross functional teams.
• Be able to travel to USA & Asia as and when the business needs

The successful applicant as a minimum will meet all of the above “must have” criteria, be capable of directing a team and unleashing their full potential, they will also take full responsibility for everything operational within Teamson Europe, for this they will be empowered and trusted with the opportunity to progress to our European Operations Director within 2 years.

Salary                                 OTE £40K - £50K (Subject to experience)
