The Payroll Assistant will work as part of a wider Finance Operations Team to provide an accurate and efficient payroll service for the entire Group.

My client are a growing organisation that relocated to the Brighton area recently. Now settled, they are looking to hire a Payroll Assistant into the growing team.
Description
As a Payroll Assistant, your main duties will include:
Responsible for providing a payroll service for all statutory entities in the Group of companies, ensuring that the payroll is accurate and administered on a timely basis.
Development and operation of sufficient controls to ensure that errors are eliminated within the payroll function.
Maintain good working relationships with HR, HMRC, pension providers, staff and other stakeholders, projecting a professional image of the group at all times.
Calculate and distribute sales commissions.
Preparation and posting of payroll journals and production of associated balance sheet reconciliations with supporting calculations on a timely basis.
Manage day to day queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Responsible for ensuring that payments are made promptly to staff, HMRC and other agencies.
Responsible for calculation and submission of PSA, P11D, Pension and other statutory returns.
Management of the Payroll inbox.
Raise manual invoices and credit notes.
Collection of debt by telephone, email and in writing. Resolving queries and working with those staff responsible for allocating cash and reporting results
Weekly distribution of aged debt analysis and commentary
Other Ad Hoc duties
Profile
To be successful in your application for Payroll Assistant, you should ideally have:
Intermediate Excel skills are required
Minimum of 2 years experience within Payroll
Process improvement experience a distinct advantage
