Infrastructure & Delivery Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity available to work as a temporary Infrastructure and Delivery Assistant. This is a Temporary post starting asap currently for seven months. We need to recruit a temporary Infrastructure and Delivery Assistant, paying £11-13 per hour, based out of Borehamwood Hertfordshire. You will start the role working from home but will need to visit client sites and be a driver.

Typical tasks for the role that we are covering are below, to give you and the proposed temps an idea of the work:

Support the team in providing professional advice on planning matters, with a particular focus on infrastructure delivery.
To manage a personal workload whilst supporting the work of the wider team.
To provide support to the Development Management team through pre-application and application advice and assist in the preparation of appeal statements relating to infrastructure and delivery matters.
To support the Planning and Economic Development Service on corporate projects and external cross authority (and wider) groups as required.
To assist in the preparation and delivery of written and oral reports and briefings to the Executive, Members, and other bodies.
To utilise information technology to improve service delivery and to encourage colleagues to work innovatively to maximise resources.
To undertake surveys, research, monitoring and analysis of development activity and local plan related issues as required.
Answer queries from members of the public and developers and liaise as necessary with other officers of the Council, County Council, adjoining Local Authorities, government departments and other relevant organisation

Developer contributions
To support the operation and review of the Council's Developer Contributions Framework, working with the Community Infratsructure Levy (CIL) / S106 officer working group and the Member Community Infrastructure and Investment Panel (CILIP) as required.
Assist the team in assessing expenditure bids for CIL and S106 in accordance with associated legal agreements and/or corporate infrastructure funding priorities and monitoring the use of allocated funds.
To support the development and implementation of policy / evidence documents in liaison with other officers and any relevant outside organisations, including providing support as required to external consultants.
Ensure relevant information on the Council's website is up to date.
Infrastructure and delivery
To provide advice on, and support delivery of, infrastructure requirements for the Borough associated with new development.
Support the preparation and maintenance of the Council's Infrastructure Delivery Plan (IDP) and Infrastructure Funding Statement (IFS) and wider evidence base.
To support the delivery of key development projects - including the Elstree Way Corridor and any other strategic sites identified throughWe are particularly interested in anyone from town planning or civil engineering background, if you feel that this role would suit you, please send a copy of your CV.
