JOB TITLE: PARKING APPEALS OFFICER
LOCATION: WFH/ HOUNSLOW
PAY RATE: £16 HOURLY RATE (PAYE)
HOURS: MONDAY- FRIDAY, 9AM- 5PM
DURATION: 3 MONTH ASSIGNMENT (POSSIBILITY OF BEING EXTENDED)
START DATE: ASAP
ROLE:
We are currently looking for a Parking Appeal Officer to deal with formal correspondence received in relation to Penalty Charge Notice representations and appeals. Your duties would include dealing with correspondence, appeals, telephone calls, refunds, complaints, court & bailiff. You would be working in a diverse, highly motivated and specialized team.
MAIN DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
To investigate and decide PCN representations and appeals in a timely manner and in line with legal requirements, council policies and procedures.
To represent the council at adjudication and other external functions such as benchmarking and working groups.
To deal with ad hoc correspondence and other duties (including requesting refunds, responding to emails and occasional phone calls) in order to ensure the smooth running of the office.
To identify and report problems as and when they come up, as well as make the occasional suggestion for developing procedures to improve service delivery, customer focus and efficiency.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:
A minimum of 6 months experience in parking appeals
Have good knowledge of Parking appeals
Excellent communications skills
An eye for detail along with experience of working with computerised systems.
Please note that this role will require you to come into the office for the first 2 weeks for supervised work. After this you will be working remotely until government guidelines change at which point will be a 50/50 split between home working and being in the office.
