JOB PROFILE
Job Title Quality Assistant
Location Chesterfield
Reporting To Quality Manager
Summary of role
Provide technical support both internally and externally, conduct 8D investigations into non conformances, inspection of incoming material and assist with the maintenance of ISO9001, 14001 & AS 9120 accreditations
Main responsibilities/Key goals
· Ensure customer complaints are recorded, actioned and responded to within agreed timescales using 8D methodology
· Develop a first class product knowledge that can be shared with others
· Assist with the maintenance, development and assessment of quality management programs
Special conditions (e.g. frequent travel, early starts and late finishes)
· Occasional travel within the UK
· Infrequent overtime
Tools and equipment used
· Use of Telephone, Computer & Measurement equipment
Qualifications/education required
· Educated to a good standard
· A qualification in quality management would be a distinct advantage
Necessary skills, knowledge and experience
· Excellent communicator both written and verbal
· Familiarity or experience within an engineering environment
· Experience on operating and implementing ISO9001 Quality systems
Attitude and/or particular aptitude
· An individual who possesses the drive and commitment to contribute towards a continuously improving quality environment, where risk based thinking and customer satisfaction are a priority
