Our client are an award winning customer focused business based in Wirral, as the payroll assistant you will be joining a friendly and focused HR/Payroll team working hard processing payroll for over 1000 salaried employees across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated and professional accountancy team on a permanent basis.

Description
The key responsibilities of the payroll assistant will include:
Assisting with payroll processing for over 300 staff
Collecting, calculating and inputting data
Maintaining employee records
Processing starters and leavers
Payroll queries
Calculating deductions, contractual changes and bonuses
Annual preparation of P11D's
Ad hoc support within the payroll departmentProfile
The successful payroll assistant will have:
Experience processing a high volume of payroll
Exposure to HR clocking payroll system highly advantageous
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work well independently or as part of a team
Up to date legislation knowledge
