NPI Project Manager

£29,000 - £32,000

Reporting to the NPI & Demand Manager, the purpose of this post is to work with the Project Coordinator to create and build the NPI timelines and critical paths, and effectively influence all relevant departments to ensure new products are introduced to the business as smoothly as possible. Candidates must have the ability to build strong customer relationships and influence change within an ever-changing environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Overall Management of Projects for Designated accounts
Overall responsibility for the Project Management of a set of designated accounts.
Work with the Project Coordinator to build and create critical paths and ensure elements are successfully adhered to
Internal Business Management
Manage cross-functional relationships and resolve issues collaboratively
Communicate effectively to the team regarding any issues and risks to the projects in a timely manner
Management of Critical Paths
Create initial critical path
Create and maintain a project tracker across all projects Customer Contact
Provide regular CPA or highlight report updates to the Customer
Manage any associated risks or issues with the Customer
Attend Customer Project meetings where required NPI meetings
Manage and schedule internal NPI project meetings
Responsible for documenting all actions resulting from internal NPI project meetings and ensuring actions are adhered to
Arrange and manage any Pre and Post production meetings as required Component and Pre Production samples / standards
Manage designated component sample approvals - chasing approvals with the Customer
Manage and coordinate designated pre-production samples - to include creation of samples, sending to customer, record keeping and chasing approvals
Manage communication between departments on the status of all standards General
Carry out other associated projects and duties as determined by the NPI Manager / Commercial Director
Carry out any other reasonable dutiesFormal Qualifications & Experience Required:

Experience in Project Management/Project Co-ordination - Essential
Proven experience using project methodology, specifically creating CPA - Essential
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Demonstrate ability to efficiently plan, organise and manage tasks
An understanding of the importance of both internal and external customer care and the means by which it is achieved
Ability to influence key project stakeholders
Ability to work individually and as an interchangeable member of a small team
Ability to organise workload and work proactively on own initiative
System driven and ability to work to procedure
Ability to prioritise and multi-task workload
Accurate with excellent attention to detail essential
Excellent level of literacy and numeracy required
Ability to use computerised information systems to input and update information as appropriate
Candidates should be able to demonstrate that they are comfortable with computer systems. It is not considered relevant where that experience has been gained
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook. Knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar Critical Path Management tool
Specialist training will be provided but a moderate understanding is essentialPersonal Attributes/Skills:
