A global Automotive Manufacturing company in Sunderland are looking for an experienced Materials Supervisor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will have Supervisory experience in Material Control department within a Manufacturing Environment.
Role and Responsibilities
* Maintaining inventory by identifying, labelling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory on company ERP system
* Able to locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production lines
* Maintaining in-process inventory at work centres on production lines
* Working with purchasing to ensure stocks are replenished in good time to fulfil production orders.
* Preparing Work Schedules, assign work, and oversees all the inventory locations
* Ensuring resources are used effectivity and work schedules and targets are met.
* Responsible for incoming and outgoing finished goods
* Responsible of direct reports – Material Handlers (shift based)
* Overseeing warehousing, shipping, receiving, and handling of material
Knowledge and Experience
* Proven track record as a Materials Handler/Supervisor, within fast paced manufacturing, ideally Automotive
* Experience with ISO TS 16949.
* Good working knowledge with ERP systems
* Knowledge or training with Problem solving methods.
* Able to support the management team
* Must be confident in using IT programs – Excel, Word and PowerPoint
