This is an exciting opportunity to join our client based in the area of Croydon as a food safety officer, office & home based.
Start date: ASAP
Hours: Full Time - Office Hours
Salary: £25.58 PH PAYE
6 Months +
The roles requires the completion of Category C food hygiene inspections and requires you to be able to carry out inspections to verify and/or provide advice on meeting food hygiene and food standards legal requirements and guidance. Have the ability to determine risk and select appropriate interventions to achieve food safety, food standards, and/or health and safety at work compliance using a risk based approach. Ultimately ensure that food is safe for consumption and free from contamination or adulteration.
You must be able to demonstrate competency with the current Food Standard Agency Code of Practice and have EHRB registration or equivalent.
To ensure that food manufactured or sold in Croydon food businesses is safe for consumption and free from contamination and adulteration, and to ensure the health and safety of those working in food businesses or those whose health and safety may be affected by the activities of food businesses.
Carrying out appropriate food safety and food standards interventions in food businesses
Advising food business operators and consumers of their rights and obligations
