Democratic Services Officer part time 16 hours working remotely to begin with.

£10.21ph Local Government Knowledge & experience in Democratic services also the use of Mod.Gov system an advantage.

Governance - Democratic Services

The post is based in the Democratic Services Team in Spalding.

To provide a comprehensive support service to the Democratic Services function.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES.

1. To undertake the duties of committee administrator for Council Committee meetings and lead member meetings specifically in respect of:-

* Arranging meetings
* Preparation of agenda and reports
* Attending meetings
* Preparing minutes
* Carrying out follow up action
* Monitoring the Committee process
* Providing administrative support to the scrutiny process.

2. To advise on the procedural and administrative aspects of the Committee process and constitution; to assist Chairs, Lead Officers and senior officers on the conduct of meetings and provide briefings as necessary.

3. To provide support in the development and maintenance of the Mod.Gov Committee management system.

4. To be the first point of contact for all 'access to information requests', and to be responsible for the logging, processing, tracking and monitoring of these.

5. To train users of the tracking system/s in, and be the first point of contact for queries on processes and procedures relating to 'access to information' legislation and complaints.

6. To answer basic queries relating to the legal requirements in respect of information and personal data.

7. Assistance with research and special projects within function area as required.

8. Assistance in Electoral Registration and Electoral Services as required.

Responsibility for the management/supervision of staff, including motivating, conducting appraisals, identifying training and developing needs and putting in place activities to meet those identified needs
