Job Details
Adecco are delighted to be working for a fantastic business based in Christchurch who are looking to recruit for a Handy-person to help ensure a smooth running of the more practical and hands on elements of their warehouse.
Duties:
* Daily processing and packing of all online orders, ensuring we adhere to our next day delivery policy.
* Monitoring and ordering of boxes, packaging, and stock.
* To complete weekly stock checks
* Assist with creative builds and repair tasks. Such tasks to include prepping, sanding, painting, waxing, oiling, polishing.
* Pre-event loading/unloading, to also include emptying and cleaning cool boxes post event.
* Supervising the transportation to and from events.
* To assist with the build and dismantling of creative pieces for external events.
* To organise, maintain, and improve the warehouse area.
* To own the general tidiness of the warehouse, maintain the look with efficient storage, and to improve with organisation solutions as and when required.
* To keep the vehicle maintenance checklist up to date, including keeping track of servicing, repairs and any damage.
* To book vehicles in for any repairs or servicing requirements.
* To ensure all vehicles are parked inside at night when they are not in use.
MAINTENANCE & GENERAL DIY
* Maintaining and cleaning all event assets, and ensuring repairs are completed as required.
* To ensure the general maintenance of tools and warehouse equipment.
* Small DIY tasks throughout the office and warehouse that can be handled in-house. Such tasks to include hanging pictures, fixing broken locks, changing light-bulbs etc.
HEALTH & SAFETY ASSISTANCE:
* Assisting Office Manager with weekly/ monthly Health and Safety checks.
* Assisting Office Manager with Fire Safety tasks, such as checking smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and completing weekly fire alarm tests.
Skills & Experience:
* 1-2 years in a similar role
* Self-motivated, and able to work independently
* To hold a Trailer and/or C1 drivers' licence would be desirable but not essential
Salary:
£22,000 per annum
