We're looking for talented and ambitious EXPERIENCED Financial Planning & Analyst Accountant Manager within the Energy / Utilities sector, the successful candidate we are looking for will be a forward thinking experienced individual to join a rapidly growing business based in Nottingham working Monday - Friday office hours where the client can offer flexibility of working from home two days a week and in the office for 3 days a week although our client can offer flexibility on working hours to support a work life balance when in the office
As the Financial Planning & Analyst Accountant Manager your duties are listed below
Analysing revenue and gross margin profitability, understanding trends and variances to plan
Provide detailed monthly commentary to the Group FC and CFO on the financial performance of the Group
Managing the Group's budget and reforecasting cycle, ensuring prompt and accurate production of 'best estimates' for the P&L, balance sheet and cashflow
Liaison with the management accounting team to facilitate prompt analysis of key financial trends, whilst also providing additional oversight in relation to key balance sheet positions
Working with key stakeholders (including commodity trading, operations, commercial, credit control teams) to understand performance and to ensure a clear bridge between management expectation and reported results
Working with key senior stakeholders to support financial analysis an insight on which to base business decisions
Provide investment appraisal on M&A or strategic investments - modelling base scenarios and providing appropriate sensitivity analysis
Ensure clear reporting of Strategic KPI's and further insight to the Executive Committee and Board
Ad-hoc analysis as required
To be successful as the Financial Planning & Analyst Accountant Manager we are looking for the following experience
Energy supply industry knowledge is essential, including previous knowledge of gross margin reporting in an energy supply business and the peculiarities of settlement of kWh's
The desire to join an expanding Group, to hit the ground running whilst being hungry to grow your role and develop new skills
Highly Analytical - naturally curious & clear understanding of variance analysis in a complex environment. High ability to model outcomes based on various assumptions
Digitally savvy - a good understanding of analytics and the ability to make data in to insight
