A Panel Wirer / Electrical Fitter is required for my Droitwich based client, a global leader in the design and manufacture of heavy industry electro-mechanical products.
The Panel Wirer / Electrical Fitter will be responsible for ensuring that machines are built to bespoke specification, with a high-quality standard all within agreed build time. It is primarily to manufacture large industrial panels by assembly of Capacitors / Inductors / Transformers and Control wiring from schematic drawings. The may also include Bus Bar and Manifold forming (soldering and brazing) and to build subassemblies from drawings.
Responsibilities of the Panel Wirer / Electrical Fitter:
Read, interpret and work from schematic / engineering drawings / instructions from engineers and other team members to assemble components as required.
Building panels involves drilling, tapping back plates and putting in trunking
Wiring panels involves crimping, soldering, terminating and stripping down wires.
Maintain safe working practices (clean and organised work environment adhering to Health and Safety regulations).
Adhere to quality control procedures.
Makes own set-ups, alignments and adjustments maintaining tolerance in accordance with instructions.
Complete daily production logs and process paperwork / documentation.
Experience and Skills of the Panel Wirer / Electrical Fitter:
Previous Electrical Fitting/Panel wiring/ panel building experience is advantageous
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Possess good verbal and written communication skills
Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales
Consistent attention to detail and quality
Ability to listen and follow instructions
Flexible and enthusiastic approach when dealing with changing priorities
A team player with high personal standards
Possess the willingness to learn, and improve
