An Project Engineer is required for my Gloucestershire based client, a global leader in the design and manufacture of electro-mechanical products for a range of industries including Oil & Gas, Chemical and Pharmaceutical.
Working in a well established team, the Project Engineer will be responsible for the completion of all technical aspects of quotations, orders and sales for all departmental projects. Also to assist in the provision of consistent and effective technical information and support.
Key Accountabilities and responsibilities of the Project Engineer:
Identifying, developing and maintaining product and package solutions across Supply Chain so as to be best placed to win orders.
Input key technical requirements into growth strategies and ensure familiarity and alignment with the strategic programmes and sales initiatives.
Keep up to date with any changes in legislation or Company policies that may impact on work practices and products / solutions.
Give technical support to global projects from early lead to maximise potential business, taking into account relevant legislation and international standards.
Ensure quotations are technically correct and feasible, and maintain full alignment with POs throughout lifetime of projects.
Identify and report variations from contract to project management.
Experience and Skills of the Project Engineer:
Previous experience in the preparation of tenders, clearly demonstrating alignment with customer needs while also highlighting the added value on offer.
Previous experience in customer facing roles with a proven track record of demonstrating excellent product, solutions, applications and systems knowledge.
Product selection and solution design against detailed customer and industry specifications.
Technical documentation preparation, submission and approval.
Project experience in a multi-national industrial business working across a global customer base
Coordinating and expediting of engineering / manufacturing activities.
Excellent influencing, organisation, communication and presentation skills.
