Salary:  Level 3 £15,165 in year 1 to Level 3 £16,176 in year 2

Location – Service Headquarters, Calcot, Reading

About the role

We are seeking an apprentice who is motivated and keen to develop their skills in business administration and facilities management. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills in a front facing role. This is a unique opportunity to kick start a career in business administration with the added specialism of facilities. Within this role, you will be expected to assist in enhancing the quality and efficiency of the service provided by the facilities department, including the maintenance of facilities across RBFRS’s various locations.

Through work experience, coaching, training and development delivered by RBFRS and the qualification provider you will be supported in order to achievethe Level 3: QCF Diploma in Business Administration. This professionally recognised qualification will provide a great foundation for someone wanting to enter the world of business and facilities, at the same time, allowing you to gain practical experience in a diverse working environment.  

The successful candidate will be inspired to demonstrate and promote behaviours in line with the Job Profile and our Behaviours Competency Framework as attached here.  Specifically we are seeking individuals who will provide excellent customer satisfaction to all RBFRS customers, resolve enquires quickly, courteously and with good attention to detail.

The key focus of this role is:

 

 

  • To provide an efficient delivery of service across RBFRS’ property portfolio for both soft and hard facilities in customer services
  • To provide excellent customer service care to all external and internal clients
  • To assist with the premise defect reporting system, liaising with internal staff and contractors
  • To support all aspects of future projects and implementation in the department

The successful applicant will have:

  • At least 2 A levels or equivalent (applicants awaiting results in 2021 can apply)
  • The ability to communicate effectively both written and orally with a range of people including senior managers, internal & external customers
  • Previous experience in customer service
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong organisation skills
  • The ability to manage priorities and deadlines
  • The ability to multitask and have good time management
  • Good knowledge and use of Microsoft word and outlook express
