Aftermarket Service Engineer – Mechanical
As a field-based member of the Service Team, you will have the knowledge and practical skills to install, commission, service and repair pumps and high pressure related systems.
Supporting the global installation division, you will travel as required, liaising directly with customers, providing both remote & onsite troubleshooting service. You will deliver a high level of theoretical and technical support to our customer base whilst carrying out service visits.
You can expect to be away for 3 out of 4 weeks per month and based on site when not travelleing.
Role & Responsibilities (Not limited to):
* Global travel (daily, weekly as required)
* Installation & commissioning of all systems as part of the SAT & Handover process.
* Carry out on site servicing and/or repair of customer equipment.
* Fault finding/trouble shooting to diagnose potential service-related issues.
* Pipefitting required to complete system installations & modifications.
* Liaise with customers on technical queries taking responsibility to resolve.
* Conduct on site surveys for service, repair & modifications to assist with quotations.
* Ensure clear and concise communication with customers.
* Carry out Training activities
* Review and complete method statements and risk assessments where required.
* Participate in the 24/7 On Call rota within the service team
Qualifications required:
HNC (Higher National Certificate in an engineering discipline) or above
Essential Skills:
* Mechanical fitting
* Pipefitting experience
* Knowledge of P&ID drawings
* Knowledge of PLC
* Knowledge of pump technology, gas, hydraulic and process systems.
* Excellent trouble shooting skills
* Driving Licence
Desirable Skills:
* Basic Electrical
* Knowledge of ATEX/IECEx or qualification
* IPAF Qualification
