Mechanical apprenticeship with City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications

Multi skilled in mechanical practicesOur client is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work on their manufacturing site in Chippenham.

You will contribute to the Improvement of the manufacturing processes by working with engineers, Supply Chain Management and other Engineering Departments.

The successful engineer will be working in a the product support environment.

You will be able to demonstrate flexibility, in the execution of your role, which will include

Trouble shooting challenges in Production Departments.
Creating new parts on our PLM system (Teamcentre)
Amending existing drawings or amending older drawings to meet modern requirements.
Resolving issues on the shopfloor and other production departments
Attending meetings with Management
Using PLM software, ideally previous experience using Teamcentre
Qualified to at least HNC in a mechanical engineering discipline (Or equivalent)
Hands on mechanical experience
Attention to detail is essential
3D CAD to a competent level, Solidworks preferred but other CAD systems considered. Some use of 2D CAD would be desirable.
Ability to draft technical documents and reports to a good standard
Can react to changing workloads and priorities
Good communication skills are a must as any applicant will be expected to talk to different departments at different levels as a matter of course
Teamcentre knowledge would be desirable
