Our client are a well established Retail business based in Luton who are looking for an Assistant Buyer to join the company on a permanent basis.

Description
The key duties of the Assistant Buyer will be:
Supplier contract / terms negotiations (price, lead time, moq, payment terms, delivery terms, returns arrangements, rebate arrangements, etc.)
Supporting the inventory control team with resolution of all supply chain issues
Day to day commercial management of the supplier base
Reporting progress to the business of all project activities and contributing to the decision-making process at project review meeting
Maintenance of a raw material, exchange rate and freight rate tracker and reporting their impact on profitability to the business
Validation of cost price movements by reference to changes in market indices, tracking these and reporting their impact on profitability to the business
Preparation of landed cost templates as required to support commercial pricing decisionsProfile
The successful Assistant Buyer will be:
Strong project management and problem-solving skills
Highly organised, team player
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to influence and convince others to achieve required results
Capability to multitask in high pressure and deadline driven environment
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a thorough and accurate approach to workJob Offer
