Transport Planner

Job Description - Transport Planner £25,000 - £30,000

Our client currently has the following position available to work in there fast paced logistics operation where they collect, store, cross dock and distribute fresh fruit and vegetables, based in Honeybourne near Evesham.

Due to our rural location you need to be within a 20 mile radius of Honeybourne, Evesham.

This role would suit a candidate who has experience in a logistics office / transport planning environment looking to develop their career into chilled logistics or a candidate that has office/procurement experience looking for training and a change of career.

2 possible Shift Patterns

Either 4 on 4 off or 5 days on, 2 off 6 days on, 1 off

Shift patterns ( 6am - 2pm, 12pm - 8pm and 9am - 4/6pm at weekends)

The candidate will shadow one of our senior planners to learn on the job which will involve, planning of routes, traffic management, collections of customers goods, driver compliance, communicating with drivers and customers. Data inputting will also be required for our bespoke inhouse order system. An eye for detail, outgoing personality. communication skills, and good listening skills are essential.

The candidate must have a minimum of

•5 GCSE's at grade C and above including Maths and English

•BTEC National Diploma or 2 A Levels.

•Office 365, MS word and Excel competent including formulas

•Good Geographical Knowledge

This is a fast paced and constantly changing environment. The candidate must be outgoing, physically fit, think on their feet, a problem solver with excellent communication skills, Applicants without the required qualifications or experience of working in logistics will be automatically disregarded.
