The ideal Business Analyst candidate would have experience in gathering detail requirements from multiple sources and designing web based, integrated software, with an appreciation for Client/Server based UI/UX systems. 

In addition, industry knowledge of membership software would be advantageous.

The candidate should possess strong communication (verbal and written), analytical, and project management skills. The ideal candidate must be a self-directed problem solver with the ability to communicate in both technical and user-friendly ways to accommodate a variety of users.  The candidate must be able to deliver quality results while under time constraints.

Another important aspect of the Business Analyst job is working with the customer-facing services teams, like Customer Support, Professional Services, Partners and others. In some cases, they will be the Subject Matter Expert and will need to provide information and insight to feature designs. They will also help determine where features do not meet the end user’s requirements, either as enhancements or as fixes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brief the Team Leader and scrum team on the customer project.
2. Analyse, design and document implementation requirements in EPICs.
3. Own the Solution Concept Q&A form and process.
4. Own the Software Design Solution EPIC template and associated tools and processes.
5. Work closely with the Product Owner.
6. Become a subject matter expert.
7. Work closely with other BAs.

Skills/Traits

In order to effectively carry out these responsibilities and tasks, the following skills and traits are important:

1. Industry specific knowledge for the sector that utilise on-line membership systems, e.g. Universities, Political Parties, Societies etc.
2. Functional Product Knowledge of integrated on-line Membership software
3. Excellent, best practice Software Design Skills (EPICs and User Stories)

5. Good Organizational Skills
