Purchasing Expeditor / Purchasing Assistant, Basingstoke: This is a fantastic second or third job where you will gain experience in a wide range of purchasing activities. The role will include placing, progressing and chasing orders, managing vendor data including, prices, lead times and product ranges, forecasting and planning forward stock levels and assisting in the search for new products.

Description

Purchasing Expeditor / Purchasing Assistant:

Working within a busy supply-chain and procurement team
Liaising with Suppliers regarding deliveries;
Identifying production risks and escalating them;
Managing and updating the Open Order Book;
Reviewing overdue orders;
Updating confirmed delivery dates calculated on Suppliers dispatch dates;
Managing Exceptions;
Requisition POD;
Running MRP;
Order placement and consolidation;
Master data maintenance;
Owning Purchasing Inbox, managing queries and escalating issues;
Managing the Returns Process - Communicating Supplier Quality Issues, Requesting Supplier
Liaising with Goods In on deliveries;
Invoice queries;
Reviewing back orders;
Other administrative tasks and duties which fall under the Purchasing remit.Profile

Ideally 2 years' experience in a Purchasing/Production/Manufacturing environment - There is some flexibility with this
Good IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Commitment to excellence

Excellent numerical skills
Driven, motivated & organised
Ability to take ownership of tasks and prioritise workload
