We're looking for talented and ambitious EXPERIENCED Group Risk Manager from a utilities/energy background and experience in this role is essential
As the Group Risk Manager we are looking for a forward thinking experienced individual to join our rapidly growing business based in Nottingham working Monday - Friday office hours where the client can offer flexibility of working from home two days a week and in the office for 3 days a week although our client can offer flexibility on working hours to support a work life balance when in the office
As the Group Risk Manager your duties will include the following
Producing position reports to understand commodity trading is in line with agreed risk mandates
Review and make recommendations to amend the Group's trading risk mandate
Assess risks, and opportunities to amend risk frameworks, related to the Group's operations, including customer and trading credit risk
Chair the Risk & Internal Control forum, and provide ad-hoc support to the audit committee as required
Identify and then implement new initiatives to drive better risk management across the organisation
Oversee the Group's risk and internal control framework, and maintain the Group's risk register
Manage Group insurance positions
Partner with the senior leadership to identify areas of risk and input into agreement of suitable risk policies, and input on key business projects
Solve problems and deliver or communicate solutions in a structured manner
Contribute to a continuous improvement culture driving market leading performance
Make consistently good internal control & credit risk decisions despite challenging deadlines
As the Credit Risk Manager we are looking for the following attributes
Energy Industry knowledge, including forward commodity trading activities
Analytical - naturally curious & understanding of risk simulation models, immaculate attention to detail
