SEND TA / Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant in Sandwell required.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant in a Special Needs Nursery in Sandwell.
The nursery is for children who have been diagnosed with having SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, MLD / Moderate Learning Difficulties and are going through the process of being diagnoses with autism. They are aged 2-5 with complex and profound needs. The post requires caring and talented Learning Support Assistants who are dedicated to supporting children with additional educational needs.
All applicants must have a minimum of 6 months experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities and be qualified to Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
The role will also require you to provide personal care.
You will need to feel confident within a nursery environment and be able to take direction from senior members of staff.
The role will include:
Assisting key workers with activity preparation
1-1 work with children who require additional support
Leading group work
Helping the manager with pupil observations
