Service Engineer

An opportunity has arisen for a Service Engineer to join one of the largest and most experienced flow computing company focused on bespoke metering control systems and support for the oil and gas sector, working with upstream, midstream and downstream customers across the globe.

As a Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Onshore and offshore site visits dealing with installation, commissioning, site surveys and service work.
The provision of technical support (sometimes out of normal office hours)
The modification, configuration and implementation of PLC's, Flow Computers, supervisory control systems
Accurate fulfilment and recording of all technical documentation.
The delivery of product specific training to internal and external customer
A high level of travel, national and international, on average 4 months of the year, split between
Offshore and Onshore

We are looking for a Service Engineer who has the following skills and experiences:

A good understanding of software configuration and experience of PLC, HMI or DCS based control
systems.
Experience of working in a demanding technical environment with a good knowledge of instrumentation.
Some experience of software programming with exposure to C++, SQL, Java will be beneficial.
An ability to work reactively to strict time constraints
