Are you a qualified or newly qualified teacher of special educational needs (SEN), do you have experience of working with Autism, Social, Medical or Behaviour needs? Are you open to daily and temporary positions?

Due to recent growth in the Scarborough area and at Castle, Castle Education are looking for qualified and newly qualified SEN teachers to join a team of committed, dedicated and highly professional Special Educational Needs Teachers in the Bridlington area.

The SEN Teacher post that we are recruiting for is offering full-time hours, however, if you are only available part-time there is a possibility of a job share. The SEN Teacher is to start work after the half term and work up until the end of the summer term 2022, with the possibility of working in September. The post has arisen in a local Primary school with an exclusion unit. If you have experience working with Autism, Asperger's and SEND this would be ideal as there is a high percentage of children with these special needs at the school.

The children within the unit are of all different ages and ability, so best suited to an SEN Teacher that has experience working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Castle Education are looking for Special Educational Needs Teachers who are enthusiastic, caring and who have a strong understanding and experience of working with pupils with a range of special educational and behavioural needs, including Autism, Social, Emotional and Medical Health needs (SEMH).

The Daily rate for this role ranges between £110 - £150

To be considered for our outstanding pool of teachers we require:-

> Relevant Teaching qualifications (PGCE, BEd, etc) or equivalent (NQT's are welcome and encouraged to apply)

> Experience of working in an SEN setting, with school aged children

> Evidence of strong classroom management

> An innovative and creative approach to teaching and raising attainment

> A confident and positive approach to working with children with various special educational needs and of varying abilities.

> A current DBS on the update service or be willing to gain one through Castle Education.

The role of SEN Teacher is perfect for any Teacher that has had experience with Learning Difficulties and are wanting to develop their skills in this field. It is preferred you have a greater knowledge of the teaching styles that are effective when teaching children with learning and/or physical difficulties and have a good understanding of how to tackle challenges and challenging behaviour in the classroom.
