Adecco are recruiting for a WEB AND INTRANET EDITOR for an East Sussex local authority.
Web and Intranet Editor
Local Authority
Full time - 37 hours per week
Temporary role - 9 months (possible extension)
£15.34 per hour PAYE / £19.56 per hour Umbrella
Remote working however IT equipment will need to be collected from Lewes
Our client are seeking a Web editor to help migrate content to their new website and to ensure all content including documents is accurate and accessible. The ideal candidate will be well organised, with confident communication skills & an eye for detail. The role isn't primarily an editorial one despite the title, but candidates should know how to edit compelling web content.
Key tasks;
* Liaison with internal teams to identify web pages and documents to be migrated, agree priorities and rough timetable
* Using analytics & other guidance to help teams decide which documents or webpages should be migrated & which shouldn't
* Challenge teams not to migrate content/to make content more concise where appropriate
* Make PDFs and MS Word documents fully accessible and usable or convert to HTML
* Migrate web content improving content usability or structure where possible
* Using our content management system Umbraco
* Liaise with central web team for more complex content or tech issues
