A great opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager to join a thriving private practice based in York. You will benefit from working within an inclusive, valued team with a competitive salary of £30,000 - £36,000, generous holiday allowance and other benefits.

As an Assistant Manager you will have a strong background of working in a practice or industry environment and be passionate about:

Supporting a range of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies by primarily providing support with their finance
Communicating regularly and effectively with clients to build long term business relationships
Preparing management accounts for owner-managed business
Reviewing management accounts prepared by others in the team
Undertaking some management accounting project work
Review and submission of VAT returns
Speaking with clients to resolve queries
Liaising with the accounts and audits teamsTo be considered for this exciting Assistant Manager role, you will:

Be ACCA / ACA / ICAEW / qualified or part-qualified accountant or be qualified through recent relevant experience
Be able to prepare management accounts, prepayments and accruals, as well as VAT returns; sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
