Belmont Recruitment are currently in search of a Clinical Lead for Community / District Nursing (Band 8a) to join the Community Health Service, based out of Newham in London. The role is Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm however there is scope for flexibility so applicants who cannot work full time are still encouraged to apply, this is initially on an ongoing locum however this will most likely be made permanent.
This vacancy has arisen to cover redeployment and sickness within the Community Health Service, the successful candidate must have experience of managing EPCT Teams, while also a District Nursing qualification would be preferable. The post holder will be responsible for the operational management and clinical leadership the local District Nursing and Community Matron Service working with other Clinical Leads to ensure equity of service provision across Newham.
The post holder is responsible for the delivery of a safe and high-quality community nursing service through the effective operational service delivery locality-based teams with specific line management of Band 7 District Nurses and Community Matrons. This will include recruitment, budget, appraisals, continual professional development, key performance indicators, quality, compliance, governance, and HR matters. We are seeking highly motivated and inspirational nurses with a background, passion for and understanding of adult community nursing. Post holders will need to demonstrate the ability and aptitude for thoughtful and transformational clinical leadership alongside a pragmatic and solution focused approach that drives forward integration and the concept of self-managed teams. The post holder will need to have extensive experience working clinically in community nursing at band 7 as all our Clinical Lead posts are 40% clinical.
The pay rate for this locum role is between £39.00 - £41.00 per hour dependant on experience, however this is open for negotiation for someone with years of experience.
