Accounts Assistant
Brierley Hill

Aims & Objectives
Work closely with the Accounts Manager and the Credit Controller to ensure effective and accurate management of financial matters.
Liaise and report information to the Accountants
Participate fully in the day to day function of the Accounts Department
Write off balances/ clearing back log of files with balances written off.
Archiving of files from listings.
Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role
Provide reception duties as and when required.
To process the credit control system
To follow up on the payment of invoices and ensure prompt and full payment.
Ensure that payments are banked accurately and in accordance with the procedures.
Coordinate and process the cheque payment system
Process slips in accordance with procedures
Process bills and ensure prompt payment
Skills and Experience
Experience of working with financial systems
Ability to meet deadlines
Accurate with an eye for detail
Questioning analytical and enquiring mind.
Articulate with good communication skills
Organisational skills
Computer literate
Ability to use Accountancy software
Personable, team player with the ability to get on with people.
The above role is based on a permanent full-time basis with an ASAP start. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 9-5:15 and Friday 9-5 with an hour for lunch. If you are interested please apply directly through the advert or call Georgia on (phone number removed) .
