SEND QTS/ Instructor Urgently needed- Shrewsbury.
We are currently looking for an SEND QTS to join the team in a Shrewsbury SEND school, with brilliant opportunity for a long-term position. We are seeking an adaptable team player with a positive mentality to fit into the school’s day to day routine seamlessly.
The school assists a range of needs including SEMH, MLD, autism and challenging behaviour. Previous experience with students with these support needs is critical. Experience working with students in a residential capacity is also beneficial.
We would require candidate to identify as having strong classroom management skills, a knowledge of the national curriculum and the flexibility to adapt it a range of teaching scenarios form one on one, to leading a class. The role would be working in an environment with a high staff to student ratio.
You will need:
• A Degree level in teaching/ PGCE or equivalent.
• At least 6 months experience in the classroom
• A passion to work with SEND students
Other beneficial training or courses would include Team Teach training or equivalent, a knowledge of First Aid and in-depth knowledge of Health and Safety within a classroom environment.
