Description
The role:
The project coordinator leads and manages the project team, with authority and responsibility from the Project Board, to lead the project on a day-to-day basis.
The Project Coordinator oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of a specific short-term project which has a beginning, an end and specified deliverables.
Key duties:
- Create a product based activity breakdown structure
- Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
- Refine, detail and determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project based on initial proposed resource allocation
- Request resource from competence managers for the resources required as of the outcome above.
- Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion (success factor)
- Execute the project according to the project plan
- Report project status to Project Board and team and Value Creation Forum
- Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
- Identify remedial and corrective actions for deviations in the project/complex RFC delivery, and agree with Project Board, Service Manager and Value Creation Forum
- Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
Profile
The candidate:
- Agile certification or experience working with methodologies
- Ideally Prince2 qualifed or working towards
- Experience working in project coordination or project management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
