Exciting opportunity for a full time Apprentice, working 37.5 hours per week, including day release with Heart of Worcestershire College one day per week, as a Marketing Administrator to gain the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship.  Starting salary will be £5.50 per hour with an increase to £6.00 per hour on completion of 18-month programme

Due to our continuing success and an internal promotion, we are now looking to increase our Marketing Team by recruiting a Level 3 Business Administration apprentice into the role of Marketing Administrator.

The Role:

To assist and support the Marketing team with their administrative tasks and wider projects. Specific responsibilities will include:

Admin

  • General office duties including managing the post, labelling and circulating magazines and products, photocopying, scanning and filing.
  • Organising meetings / events including booking and setting up facilities plus taking minutes.
  • Acquiring and sending samples for R&D testing, social media competitions or blogger outreach.
  • Raising Purchase Orders for the Marketing A&P.

Competitor Benchmarking

  • Online and physical store audits.
  • Desk research for specific projects.
  • Circulating updates on new products and initiatives to the wider business.

Database & Trackers

  • Keeping the product database up to date with accurate information and adding new products.
  • Keeping several key marketing information trackers up to date e.g. Discontinuation Tracker, Brandbank Tracker etc. plus setting up any new ones required.

In-store POS & Mailouts

  • Assisting in the development of new displays or clipstrips.
  • Sourcing POS equipment.
  • Co-ordinating trade mailouts including sourcing goodies, leaflets etc.

Packaging & Artwork

  • Liaising with suppliers to re-order existing stickers and developing new ones.
  • Proof reading and giving feedback on packaging and artwork. Managing barcode verification.

Social Media & Digital

  • Assisting with developing monthly content plans for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and also creating engaging content for TikTok.
  • Assisting in tracking and responding to consumer enquiries.
  • Assisting with posting and tracking performance.
  • Tracking and auditing of competitors on various Social Media platforms.
  • Assisting with Spontesters sampling and Influencers partnership programme.
  • Assisting with content creation for the website including blogs.

As well as the specific responsibilities outlined above, the Marketing Administrator will be expected to assist with any ad hoc projects as required.

The Person:

Enthusiasm, commitment and motivation are the key elements that we will be looking for in our Apprentice, as well as:- 

  • A good basic knowledge of MS Office. 
  • Demonstrate good organisational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Good spoken and written communication skills. 
  • Show initiative and be proactive. 
  • Have a flexible approach.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
