Import & Export Account Manager

My client, a global 3pl based in Glasgow are seeking an experienced Import & Export Account Manager for their growing operations team. The Account Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day running of the operations and customer service team for key clients. You will handle all export / import & domestic shipments as required by the customer or overseas office and ensure completion of any and all customs requirements, customer reports and general file maintenance & documentation for all shipments.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Oversee operational and customer's SOP's and KPI's
* Advise on sell rates, transit time requirements and quote process
* Update and send any required Status Reports to customers
* Advise customer of flight details and scheduled arrival / departure
* Obtain customs clearance instructions from the customer
* Liaise with internal warehouses regarding arrival and availability of Import goods
* Prepare export documentation / Courier AWB's when required
* Raise Duty/VAT invoice
* Work with Credit Control Department to ensure that all supplier queries are managed efficiently and resolved as quickly as possible
* Lead on client meetings and reviews with relevant accounts

Key skills required for the role:

* Demonstrable experience within an import/export environment
* Strong account management skills
* 3-4 years experience within ocean & air import experience (essential)
* Experience within ocean & air export (desirable)
* Experience working with ASM, CNS, Destin8

This is a permanent role offering a salary but to £30,000 based in Glasgow.
