CLASS 1 HGV DRIVERS NEEDED - FTE Contract

Search's Transport Division have been a proud Recruitment Partner of our Client for the last 10 years.
We are looking for up to 10 Class 1 HGV (C+E) Drivers to work for their Northern Distribution Centre.
By joining this team you will be:
- Rewarded with regular ongoing work
- Receive a full comprehensive induction and training from their expert driver training team
- Working for one of the UK's premier haulage companies
- Drive HGV's from a well maintained fleet (Predominantly Volvos)
THE JOB
The job involves making store deliveries around the UK. You will be delivering ambient loads with roll cages.
Trailers can be single or double deck. Training will be provided if you have not used a double deck trailer before.
This job does not require you to load the vehicle, but you will be responsible for unloading on arrival at the store.
Average shift length is approx 10-12 hours per day
You will be working a fixed Friday to Monday shift with the option for overtime as and when you are legal to do so.
Day shift start times are in 2 hour windows between (Apply online only)
Night shift start times are in 2 hour windows from (Apply online only)
Pay Rates (PAYE)
Days 13.07 ph
Nights 14.00 ph
Weekends 14.50 ph
(Holiday pay is accrued in addition to these rates)
Pay Parity rates after 12 weeks
Days 17.67 ph
Nights 21.02 ph
(Holiday pay is accrued in addition to these rates)
For insurance purposes you must have no more than 6 minor points on your licence. You must also have a Digital Tachograph Card and excellent knowledge of Working Time Directive.
