Psychological Support Coordinator - 15 hours a week (12 month contract)

An interesting role has become available for a 12 month temporary contract, based at Police HQ, Middlemoor.

The principal responsibility of the role is to be the single point of contact for the co-ordination of the Psychological Support Programme (PSP), the post holder is responsible for proficiently managing the progression of health screening for staff working in roles with a high risk for the potential to cause psychological harm.

To provide a professional, confidential and comprehensive co-ordination service for OHSU in identifying and liaising with relevant stakeholders/personnel, maintaining complex records, updating databases and the production, management and analysis of confidential electronic records.

Key requirements:

Able to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to act with diplomacy and integrity in all forms of communication, and negotiating senior, multi-agency stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently, excellent organisational skills and have the ability to work unsupervised, prioritise own workload, demonstrating effective well-structured planning and organisation skills in a calm and methodical manner.
Excellent standard of computer literacy/IT skills and evidence an ability to gather and analyse information and present information from a range of sources, making sure it is reliable and accurate. This will be supported by proficient skills in Microsoft applications.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team, whilst being able to use initiative if direct supervision not available.
The ability to recognise risk and prioritise tasks to ensure that risk is mitigated and managed
Able to make decisions and document these with informed rationale.
