Resource Planning Assistant
Lichfield
Up to £20,883
Permanent
Monday - Friday - Rotating Days (6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm)
Ideal Start: ASAP
Our clients are a well known 3rd party logistics company who are currently recruiting for a Resource Planning Clerk at their distribution centre in Lichfield that they operate on behalf of their client.
The Role
Responsible for accurately recording holidays in the central rota and Payroll system.
Ensure that each shift has required information to approve/reject holiday requests in line with
approved guidelines.
Work with the Resource Planning team to produce effective labour plans for each warehouse shift.
Work with Operational Teams and Resource Planning Manager to produce and continually
review rota patterns in line with operational KPI's.
Review resource requirements and make recommendations according to on site trends.
Monitor daily labour variances to ensure full and accurate labour resource requirements are
formed on a daily and weekly basis and adjusted as required.
Provide senior management with daily/weekly KPI reports to ensure continual improvement
throughout the warehouse - daily dashboard updates.
Seeking to raise standards & improve current spreadsheets and processes to ensure effective time management and efficiency.
Monitor downtime and performance with onsite tools.
To operate performance management tool in conjunction with the planning tool.
Able to analyse and interpret information and data to support with decision making.
To understand all internal processes specific to your role to suggest areas of development to
resource planning team.
To carry out other duties that may be required from time to time within the general scope of the department.
The Person
Well-organised and analytical with a sound knowledge of the principles of warehouse operations
Good knowledge and understanding of MS Excel.
High attention to detail
Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
Organised and the ability to prioritise workload to ensure that all deadlines are hit
Ability to influence and persuade others
Confident problem solver
The role will require an element of flexibility in regard to working hours.
