Accounts and Payroll Assistant

A busy Accountancy Practice based in Scarborough is currently looking for a Payroll and Accounts Assistant to join their growing team. The purpose of this role will be to assist in all activities regarding the management of client's payroll, as well as supporting the accounts and bookkeeping team on an adhoc basis.

This is an excellent opportunity that can be a full or part-time opportunity for the right person, with a central and easy to access location in Scarborough.

Reporting into the Payroll Manager, the successful Payroll and Accounts Assistant's key responsibilities will include:

Managing compensation package using payroll software
Collect and verifying hours worked
Calculate pay according to worked hours including calculations of overtime and annual leave
Calculating bonuses and commissions
Supporting with and submitting furlough claims
Support clients with payroll enquiries
Supporting bookkeeping and accounts team on adhoc basisTo be successful in this role you will:

Previous experience in a payroll administrator or payroll assistant position
Experienced in data collection and entry
Excellent attention to detail
Strong knowledge of current payroll legislation
