Department - Quality, Health & Safety and Environment (QHSE)

Role - QHSE Shift Technician.

Direct report - QHSE Manager. (Reporting into the Shift Manager on the Night Shift)

Hours - Shifts, working on a 3 week rotational shift pattern.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - 5.50am to 6pm (Days)

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 5.50pm to 6am (Nights)

Thursday, Friday - 5.50am to 6pm (Days)

Work location -Welshpool. Potential requirement for travel (Training and development days - Full notice will be provided on this)

QHSE Shift Technician Key responsibilities:-

Auditing - Doing this on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and completing all actions for audit findings. Audit schedule will be provided.There is a range of audit requirements

Procedural audits - Ensuring all training documentation is in place and employee who carries out the task is trained to do the task being audited - Daily
Internal audits (Against the BRC and ISO standard) - Weekly
Hygiene audits - Ensuring that all staff and areas comply with Hygiene standards -Fortnightly
Health and Safety Audits - Ensuring that all staff and areas comply with Safety standards. Raising near misses where applicable - Weekly
Environmental audits Ensuring that all staff and areas comply with Environmental standards - Weekly
Risk Assessing - Carrying out risk assessments for procedures and carrying out risk assessments of working areas. Identifying the risks and proposing actions to minimise the risks.
Lab testing - Ensuring that products comply with company standards - Daily
Chairing the daily quality meeting - Carrying out Quality rejection investigations as part of this meeting with a cross functional team, then presenting the actions from this meeting into the daily MDI meeting - Daily
Managing the quarantine area - Ensuring all products in this area have been investigated with corrective and preventative actions in place prior to disposal - Daily
Archiving samples - DailyThe QHSE Shift Technician will be required to use the SAP system as part of daily duties.

This role will require the QHSE Shift Technician to work as part of a team across the business as this is a diverse role where you will be required to go into other departments and carry out audits. Also required to work with the other Shift Technicians as part of the departmental team carrying out Shift handovers.

In addition to the main role, any employee is expected to be flexible with regards to other tasks that may be delegated from time to time. It is expected that any employee will conform to any reasonable management request.

The Shift Technician holidays will require covering where possible due to the nature of the roll in the business. (Preferably with the other shift technicians - this may require swapping to a completely different Shift within the pattern)
